Bio

Dr. Rammohan S is serving as a faculty member at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore. His research interests include energy scavenging, bio-inspired gait robotics, tactile gripping, and transducer design. As a post-doctoral scholar at Virginia Tech and researcher at Pennsylvania State University, he contributed to the development of millipede inspired mobile robots, the modeling and analysis of multi-physics systems such as magnetoelectric, piezoelectric, thermoelectric, and thermoacoustic transducers and cattle health monitoring areas of research. He has secured a grant from Sony Sensing Solutions in Aug 2022. His current research is focused on cyber physical and robotic systems to build technologies for precision agricultural and animal farming. He served as a reviewer for the Journals such as ACS Photonics, Biomedical Engineering, IEEE transactions on Mechatronics, Energies, Journal of Institute of Smart Structures and Systems, IEEE transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, IEEE Sensors
