Swami Sankaraamritananda Puri (Dr. C. Nagarajan) was a senior disciple of Sadguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. He joined Mata Amritanandamayi Math in 1991. He was an ayurvedic physician by profession with a postgraduate qualification i.e, MD in Kayachikitsa. He had completed his BAMS in 1986 from the University of Madras and MD from the University of Keralam in 1991.

Swami Sankaraamritananda Puri joined Amrita School of Ayurveda as Assistant Professor in the department of Kayachikitsa on September 1, 2004. He was promoted as Associate Professor on September 1, 2009 and as Professor on September 1, 2014. At that time he was Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa, Principal since May 1, 2019 and Medical Director of Amrita School of Ayurveda, Vallikavu.

Swami Sankaraamritananda Puri took active participation in various missionary activities initiated by Mata Amritanandamayi Math and had been given charge of Madurai Brahmasthanam. He had traveled to Germany, Switzerland and Spain to promote Ayurveda and Indian philosophy. He had conducted many workshops and seminars in various important Ayurvedic topics. He was a teacher, physician and scholar in Indian philosophy.

His interpretation of Lalithasahasranama was being aired by Amrita T.V regularly as a serial in their Sandhya Deepam Program. This serial had completed approximately 900 episodes. Besides Ayurveda, his main areas of interest were Bhagavad Gita, Lalithasahasranama and Soundaryalahari.
