Dr. Vaishnav Bhaskar currently serves as Research Scientist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Amrita School of Pharmacy. He completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Amrita School of Pharmacy and obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the same institution. His research interests encompass medicinal chemistry, computer-aided drug design, computational chemistry, and anti-tubercular drug discovery. His expertise includes molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, MM-GBSA, 3D-QSAR, synthetic medicinal chemistry, spectroscopic characterization, and in vitro biological evaluation. He has authored more than ten peer-reviewed publications in reputed international journals, including Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications (BBRC), ACS Omega, Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, and Journal of Molecular Structure. His current research focuses on the rational design and development of novel therapeutic agents by integrating computational and experimental approaches to address infectious diseases and other unmet medical needs.
