Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, invites applications for the position of Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. T. S. Boopathi. The selected candidate will work on the research project titled: “Design, Fabrication, and Characterisation of Multifunctional Electrospun Bioactive Nanofibrous Scaffolds for Advanced Orthopaedic, Wound Care, and Regenerative Biomedical Applications.” Desired Skills and Expertise required are

• Strong experience in the design, fabrication, and characterisation of electrospun polymeric biomaterials and nanofibrous scaffolds.


• Hands-on experience in the extraction, characterisation, and incorporation of medicinal plant extracts, phytochemicals, and other bioactive compounds into polymeric matrices.


• Comprehensive knowledge of drug/bioactive compound release, material degradation, swelling behaviour, and release-kinetic studies.


• Strong understanding and practical experience in in vitro and in vivo evaluation of biomaterials, particularly for orthopaedic applications and wound healing/closure.


• Knowledge of bone regeneration, orthopaedic tissue engineering, and advanced wound-healing biomaterials.


• Ability to independently plan, execute, analyse, and interpret multidisciplinary research experiments while effectively collaborating with research teams.


• Demonstrated ability and willingness to contribute to high-quality research publications, scientific presentations, grant/research proposals, and other scholarly outputs.
