The Amrita School for Sustainable Futures, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Experiential Learning for Sustainable Innovation and Development, conducted a two-day Executive Education Program on Social Impact Measurement & Management on 6–7 February 2026. The program was designed to strengthen professional capacity in social impact measurement, evaluation, management, and reporting across corporate, development, financial, and philanthropic sectors.
A total of 30 participants from 17 organizations attended the program, representing a diverse mix of corporate CSR teams, foundations, consulting firms, financial institutions, research organizations, and civil society organizations.
The primary objective of the program was to build conceptual clarity and methodological rigor in social impact measurement and management, introduce globally accepted frameworks and standards, and enable participants to move beyond compliance-driven reporting toward credible, decision-oriented impact practices. The program also aimed to foster cross-sector dialogue on shared challenges, contextual constraints, and emerging practices in impact measurement and reporting in India.
The program was grounded in first principles of social impact thinking and developed through an extensive academic process. The curriculum originated as a three-credit doctoral-level elective, which was tested over a full academic cycle, refined through structured feedback, and subsequently adapted into an intensive executive education format. The pedagogy combined conceptual instruction with framework-based discussions, case illustrations, and facilitated peer learning, ensuring both academic rigor and practical relevance.
