The College of Nursing at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham welcomed the 24th batch of B.Sc. Nursing students at its Kochi campus. The inaugural event marked the beginning of an exciting and inspiring academic journey for 95 new students who are set to embark on a path of excellence in nursing education.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Swami Sri Poornamritananda Puri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, who graced the occasion with his divine presence and blessed the students for a bright and successful future. His words of wisdom resonated deeply with the students, setting a positive tone for their academic pursuits.
Dr. Prem Nair, Provost and Group Medical Director of Amrita Hospitals, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the importance of nursing as a noble profession dedicated to service and compassion. His address was an inspiration to the students as they begin their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals.
Bri. Sai Bala, Nursing Director at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, offered her felicitation, encouraging the students to uphold the values of empathy and care throughout their nursing careers. Following the felicitation, Dr. K. T. Moly, Principal of the College of Nursing, had an interactive session with the students and their parents, offering insights into the academic journey ahead and the opportunities the students would have during their time at Amrita. The inaugural event was a momentous occasion, marking the start of a transformative journey for these young students.
