Amrita University Among Top 800 Universities Worldwide in Times Higher Education Rankings
In the 12th edition of the annual rankings released by Times Higher Education, Amrita University has been placed in the list of 601-800 category. The 2015 ranking features universities in 70 countries and seventeen Indian higher education institutions have featured in the list of the world's best universities. The rankings are partly based on publication, citation data and key performance indicators relating to research, teaching, knowledge transfer and international activity.»»
Amrita University Ranked Among the top 200 Universities in QS BRICS Rankings
Amrita University has been ranked among the top 200 universities in BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries by a reputed international ranking organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). Amrita is ranked ahead of many well known, older universities.
Credit for Amrita's steep ascent can largely be attributed to Amma's spectacular leadership in promoting research and innovation that directly benefits the world at large, while attracting the best faculty from all over the globe. Careers360 announces Amrita University among Top Private Universities in India
Careers360, India’s largest higher education and career counselling portal has announced the University Rating/Ranking Survey 2014. The assessment was based on the performance of universities in parameters such as Accreditation, Publications (refereed journals), Citations and Indian Patents. Amrita Center for Nanosciences (ACNS) is listed among India’s Best Researchers in Chemical Engineering category and Amrita’s Center for Wireless Networks & Applications (AmritaWNA) is listed in Social Sciences category.»»
Amrita University Reaccredited & Awarded A Grade from NAAC
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) (link is external) awarded an A grade to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. “It was perhaps one of the most complex accreditation exercises undertaken by NAAC,” said Prashant R. Nair, Vice Chair of Department of IT, who was appointed as a university-wide coordinator. “Over a hundred people in the university were directly involved with the accreditation exercise, serving as campus-level, school-level and department-level coordinators.”»»

The latest results of the Webometrics Web Ranking of World Universities released on July 2015 ranked Amrita University as 26th in Country rank for its web presence, visibility and web access. Published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid, the ranking aims to improve the presence of academic and research institutions on the Web and to promote open access publication of scientific results.
The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system that places the world's universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web contents (number of web pages and files), web visibility, and web impact according to the number of external inbound links received on publications.
