Green Campuses

The Green Campuses Initiative by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham encourages all Indian educational institutions to pay special attention to the areas of waste, energy, water, building technologies & landscaping and make a firm commitment for achieving sustainability. The mission of this project is to imbibe values of environmental protection and a sustainable development among the students. Our main goals includes,

  • Promote sustainability by bringing awareness to school/ college students across India
  • Invite experts for interacting with the students about today’s environmental problems and possible solutions
  • Work towards the deployment of eco-friendly technologies for greening and cleaning our campuses
  • Empower students to advance such technologies by pursuing active research in these areas
