Abstract : A convenient and rapid method for the synthesis of α-hydrazino ketones from 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and diethyl azodicarboxylate in presence of 1,8-diazobicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene as an organic catalyst at room temperature giving good yields, short reaction time and easy isolation. © 2017, Chemical Publishing Co.
