Abstract : ZigBee is one of the most widely used wireless communication technologies. ZigBee is being widely used for sensor communications and many other research fields. Why consider ZigBee? Because it is cheap and has better compatibility when compared to other communication technologies. We have given a detailed description on comparison between all the available technologies. In this paper, we have discussed some basic concepts about ZigBee and its security aspects in networking. We have also listed out the major manufacturers who are into the production of the transceivers for ZigBee.
