Abstract : A Photovoltaic Emulator (PVE) paves the path for efficient evolution and examining of PV apparatuses and systems. It serves as a substitute for a controlled light source, which consumes a lot of space and is inefficient. This work primarily focuses on the construction of a PV emulator utilizing a Raspberry Pi controller, which demonstrates that it operates at a higher clock speed, resulting in much improved model performance. A power converter and a buck converter are required for a simple PVE, with the buck converter being favored because of its ease of control and high efficiency. The model of a buck-converter is used as a reference in this paper, and it serves as the basic approach.
