Abstract : Peer-to-peer (P2P) energy transfer system in nonsigned and the system is designed and built on ESP32 microcontrollers to allow direct energy exchange between two nodes according to their real-time energy states in microgrid where the energy source is Solar pannels and energy storage systems in batteries. The local voltage and current of every node are separately measured by means of a voltage divider network and an ACS712 current sensor. The ESP32 processes these values to get the instantaneous power and categorize the node as surplus or deficit depending on a programmed value of reference. The nodes use Wi-Fi to transmit their status of energy through the ESP-NOW protocol. When either of the nodes detects a surplus state and the other state is a deficit, a relay is then triggered to make the surplus node transfer power to the deficit node. This decentralization control will remove the necessity of centralized energy management system, enhancing an effective use of local energy and advocating smart microgrid uses. The suggested solution illustrates a power of low-cost autonomous energy balancing of small-scale renewable energy networks.
