Abstract : The present paper investigates the propagation of G-type wave in a heterogeneous medium lying over a non homogeneous medium lying over a nonhomogeneous fibre reinforced half space. The condition for maximum energy near the surface, dispersion equation and group velocity are obtained in a compact form. Graphs are sketched to express the consequences of nonhomogeneous parameter, self reinforced parameter and small positive constant ɛ on phase velocity. The graph of group velocity is drawn to show the effect of reinforcement parameter.
