Abstract : The COVID-19 pandemic has turned into a worldwide crisis that is already strongly affecting the businesses and societal life across the whole world. This paper examines the diverse impact of the pandemic on various sectors of the Indian economy. The report evaluates the impacts in some of the key sectors, such as manufacturing, e-commerce, healthcare, agriculture, information technology, tourism, and education. It achieves this through a big volume of data analysis. Huge challenges such as medical supplies shortages, overcapacity, and non-COVID service disruptions were emerging in the healthcare industry in India like never before. The rise of COVID19 patients strained the health system and revealed some significant flaws. Lockdown tactics left traditional retailing stores closed and supply chains strained, forcing consumers to move on to online shopping websites and search engines leading retail and e-commerce to the paradigm shift. The manufacturing sector that consisted of the electronics, automotive and textile sectors was hit by production pauses, supply chain breaks and labor shortages. Although it was not hit as hard, agriculture was also forced to face the problems of supply chain disruptions and shortage of manpower during harvest periods. The epidemic demonstrated the need to enhance rural infrastructure and agricultural resilience. Information technology business had undergone a fast digital transformation, however, it was uncertain because of global economic crises. Travel bans and border shutdowns had a devastating effect on the hospitality and tourism sectors, leading to the loss of revenue and shut down of businesses.
