Abstract : In this paper behaviour or performance of three lens antenna; which having different thickness and weight are compared. These three lens antenna are the dielectric piano-hyperbolic lens antenna (DPHLA), phase correcting-Fresnel zone plate antenna (PC-FZPA) and phase shifting surface-lens antenna (PSS-LA). All these antennas are designed for Ka band with operating frequency 30 GHz. However, the dielectric lens antenna can improve the antenna parameters, especially the antenna gain and the planarity of radiated waves. The main goal of this paper is introduction and differences between the most commonly used types of lens antennas. For each lens antenna pros and cons are specified and verified by simulation results.
