Abstract : We have experimentally demonstrated a robust dynamic data driven method using heterogeneous sensors for predicting the onset of combustion instability in a laboratory scale combustor. Specifically, we have developed a pressure sensor based on Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) and used the data with chemi-luminescence data to derive the cross entropy, which is then used to indicate the onset of combustion instability.
