Abstract : Each year, hundreds of criminals escape from custody, posing great threats to public safety and weakening public trust in law enforcement agencies. These escapes reveal critical vulnerabilities in the traditional surveillance and prisoner management systems, which often rely heavily on manual monitoring, outdated technologies, and physical manpower. Due to their efficiency and resource intensiveness coupled with the high risk of human error, these conventional methods are not as effective in delivering prompt response times, as well as inability to prevent prison break. The absence of in time tracking and anti- tamper mechanisms makes it worse because criminals get an opportunity to identify weaknesses in the restraint method and escape. Such incidents not only end anger the lives of citizens but also burden law enforcement resources because an extensive search has to be carried out to catch the fugitives. In light of these persistent challenges, there is a pressing need for innovative, technology-driven solutions that can provide continuous, reliable monitoring of detainees, enhance response times, and reinforce the overall security framework to prevent future escapes and restore confidence in the justice system.
