Abstract : Sustainability is the ability to last or continue for a long time. Sustainability of MSMEs is an important issue faced in this global scenario. Kerala is flourished with large number of entrepreneurs operating in Micro, Small and Medium enterprises. As part of Make in Kerala initiative an upward trend in the growth of small scale industries reveals the importance of MSME sector in the State. The entrepreneurs in general should be competent enough to adopt innovative measures as this may be considered as an important tool to follow the path towards globalisation. The paper analyses the important problems faced by entrepreneurs in the District of Ernakulam, the extent of innovativeness each unit adopts and the appropriate remedial measures to revive them towards growth. The objective of the paper is to make a comparison on the level of innovativeness of entrepreneurs employed in micro, small and medium enterprises and suggest remedial measures for the same. The study with the help of primary data analysed entrepreneurs of 9 MSME units in manufacturing sector run both by men and women.
