Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham participated in the 12th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2016, a global conference and exhibition, held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, from 10th to 12th November, 2016. The summit was inaugurated by Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on November 10th.

Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru organized a technical event, Techwiz, for school students, as a part of Aarohan. Aarohan is exclusively conducted for school students to exhibit and enhance their talents in science and technology every year by the Amrita School of Engineering on the 10th and 11th of November, 2016. The level of participation was astounding, more than 1500 students from 46 renowned schools of Bangalore attended.
The department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus, conducted its annual village outreach programme on 25th October, 2016 to coincide with the Diwali festive season.
On the lines of ACM Distinguished Speaker and IEEE Distinguished Lecturer programs, Computer Society of India (CSI) has unveiled its Distinguished Speaker program. CSI has recognized 50 distinguished speakers from among its membership base of over 200,000 all over India and abroad. Mr. Hemal Patel, Senior Vice President of Sophos Operations in India, visited Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. He gave a talk to the students and faculty members about how to be successful in life and career.
