Amrita School of Pharmacy Celebrates 71st Republic Day of India

The 71st Republic Day of India was celebrated at Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, on January 27, 2020. A speech was delivered by Ms. Maria Binu Jacob (2nd year B. Pharm. student) highlighting the importance of the day that our country adopted the constitution as our governing document, the day India was declared as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. The special debutant events of the Republic Day parade, Flypast by Apache helicopters and the stunts performed by the women bikers of CRPF were also remembered.

The students of B. Pharm. 2018 batch presented a mix of melodious patriotic songs which culminated in the famous “Vande Mataram”. The students waved the tricolor flag, remembering the freedom struggle and taking pride in the golden heritage of our country. Republic day is celebrated throughout our country with great fervors irrespective of religion, caste, creed and gender. It is an important day for each and every Indian as we owe all the privileges our country has to offer to our constitution which was adopted on this day.
