Amrita Students Develop COVID-19 Global Tracker App

Arun Vigesh V. G. and Manojkumar V. K, students of the B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, developed a COVID - 19 global tracker app. This android app acts as a portal for the community to keep track of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, alongside collecting data for further analysis. All content is handpicked and filtered to ensure that data collection sources are reliable with minimal hoaxes, in the best interest of the community.

Amrita Student Develops 'BayJDO'- An Indian App to Beat Xender and SHAREit Ban

Following the ban of the 59 Chinese apps by the Government of India, Ashwin Shenoy (second-year student of the Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, Kerala) has developed an application named "BayJDO". He is on a mission to rescue all those who were mourning the ban of Xender and SHAREit. BayJDO is a lightweight, simple yet fast, and secure web application, that allows us to transfer files directly between devices, without requiring users to install dedicated apps or create a special WiFi Hotspot. Transferring files using BayJDO is simple, and it has only one prerequisite – the devices need to be in the same network.

Amrita Students Enter into the Finals of Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020

The students and researchers at the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, were selected for the finals of the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 under Global Category and India Impact Category, the two categories under which the challenge is held.
