Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has collaborated with Harvard Medical School’s Postgraduate Medical Education (HMS PGME) to launch a new education program in the field of healthcare leadership for interested students.
The joint healthcare program of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and HMS PGME titled “Harvard Medical School’s Leadership in Health Care – India” will commence for a duration of two months and will begin in October 2023 for all interested and eligible candidates.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Prem Nair, MD, Provost, Medical Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, said, “We are delighted to make Harvard Medical School’s Leadership in Health Care – India program available to our colleagues”.
“This creates opportunities for us to invest in Amrita’s existing leadership talent, world-class expertise, and healthcare innovation, and combine it with the knowledge of top educators and leaders”, he further added.
The joint program will aim to introduce participants to key skills required to lead and manage complex health organizations. The course curriculum will include topics like financial management, patient safety, innovation, transformational leadership and empowering women.
After the course completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion from Harvard Medical School. In addition to this, graduates of this certificate program will have an opportunity to make their career in the field of local and international leadership positions.
