Abstract : To enhance the agricultural methods for better plant growth there always a need to know the plant characteristics. Hence, in this paper, the result of an experimental study to analyze the signal generated from plants with the influence of sound waves are discussed. The experiment was performed in the natural environment to trap the signals generated from the chilly plant using low-cost components, and by developing a small signal amplifier. The influence of various sounds like a sine wave, square wave, triangular wave, and the sawtooth wave was tested in the plants to understand the growth rate. It was noted that there are good fluctuations in the plant signal when sine wave and ‘OM’ sound was played. The least similarity, 26.56% was obtained from a sine wave-influenced signal. This understanding of the influence of sound in plants at a particular frequency will help the growth of the plant; also the results which are obtained can be used for further study in the field of plant communication.
