Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Deputy Registrar, represented Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at the Round Table Discussion on “Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat @ 2047” organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in association with the Education Promotion Society for India (EPSI) at New Delhi on 13 October 2026. This roundtable was convened to bring together senior leaders of Higher Education Institutions for a direct and meaningful dialogue with the Hon’ble Ministers on how educational institutions can play a greater role in engaging, empowering and preparing India’s youth to contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. The interaction was intended to facilitate an open, constructive and forward-looking exchange of ideas between the Government and the leadership of educational institutions on strengthening youth engagement and creating greater opportunities for leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, sports, volunteering, nation-building and Nasha Mukt Bharat. The address of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, headlined the round table. Dr. Prashant also had a brief interaction with Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports during the round table.
