Abstract : In this paper, the performance of IEEE 802.15.1 and IEEE 802.15.4 links over η-μ and κ-μ generalized fading channels have been analyzed by determining the expressions of Average Bit Error Rate (BER) for these channels. On comparing results for various statistical parameters of the channels, it has been found that IEEE 802.15.4 link performs better than IEEE 802.15.1 link over these channels.
