Abstract : This chapter presents nanoclay for environmental treatment. It started by introducing the appearance and production of nanoclay. It then briefly describes nanoclay’s contribution to environmental remediation. The chapter also explains the prospects and applications of nanoclay in sanitation and environmental cleaning. The chapter comprehensively discussed environmental remediation technologies through chemical degradation, metals, nanosensors, environmentally friendly materials, and green manufacturing. It also highlights the applications of nanoclay in removing pollutants from water and soil and controlling emissions to prevent pollution. At the end of the chapter, sustainable applications of nanoclay for environmental remediation are explained.
