In honour of World Cleanup Day, the AMMACHI Labs Wadi team and local farmers in Bramhaniapal came together to clean the Wadi fields and border areas, reaffirming their commitment to caring for Mother Nature and maintaining clean, sustainable community spaces.
The day’s activities reflected more than just physical effort. As farmers and staff worked side by side, Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and field officers prepared a shared community lunch, celebrating unity and the spirit of collaboration.
Beyond the fields, staff members also extended their efforts to the office premises and surroundings, reinforcing the belief that a “tidy workplace nurtures a tidy mind.”
Initiatives like these highlight how the Wadi project extends beyond farming—it fosters ownership, responsibility, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that communities thrive not only in agricultural yield but also in sustainability and collective well-being.
The Amma’s Wadi initiative, implemented by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and supported by NABARD, continues to empower tribal communities through sustainable farming and income-generating activities, building pathways to self-reliance and resilience, one harvest at a time.
