The Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the second position in India in the Framework Assessment and Rating of Ayurveda Colleges conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI) under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) for the 2025–26 academic year.
The institution earned an “A” grade, marking a significant leap from its 13th position in the previous year’s rankings. The assessment, carried out by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Indian System of Medicine (MARBISM), evaluated colleges across India on key parameters including academic excellence, research quality, infrastructure, institutional governance, and student outcomes.
Functioning under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, the NCISM oversees education and practice in traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Sowa-Rigpa.
