Women Empowerment Project – August 2025 Activity Update

As part of the ongoing Women Empowerment Project, significant progress was made during August 2025. On 6 August 2025, project member Ashwathy successfully completed screen printing for an order of 700 eco-friendly bags. These bags were produced for the upcoming International Conference on Sustainable & Resilient Futures, scheduled to be held on 29 August 2025.

On 20 August 2025, the Women Empowerment Project received an order to produce 200 bags for a wedding in the Aikanath family at the Ashram, and this assignment was entrusted to Ashwathy chechi, further reflecting the confidence placed in her craftsmanship and the growing recognition of the project’s quality work.

On 22 August 2025Bincy from the Haritham and Mazhathulli Stitching Units successfully completed the stitching of 450 bags, an order received from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences for the Spasht Medical Conference 2025 held in Edapally, Cochin, marking another milestone in the project’s growing capacity to deliver high-quality work for major institutional events.

On 21 August 2025, the WE Store received an opportunity to set up a stall at the upcoming International Conference on Sustainable & Resilient Futures scheduled for 29 August 2025, organized by Sustainable Futures, and as part of the preparations, an order was placed for the production of embroidered pouches to be showcased at the event.

On 22 August 2025, the Kattilkadavu Shivashakti Stitching Unit completed the production of 700 bags for the upcoming International Conference on Sustainable & Resilient Futures, scheduled for 29 August 2025, marking another efficient and timely contribution to the event’s preparations.

On 29 and 30 August 2025, Women Empowerment stalls were set up at the Annapoorneshwari Hall for the International Conference on Sustainable and Resilient Futures, providing a platform to showcase handcrafted products and highlight the initiative’s ongoing impact.

On 29 August 2025, a total of 61 bags were delivered to the Provost Office for the International Conference on Sustainable and Resilient Futures, as part of the requirements for the ACIP Conference, ensuring timely support for the event’s preparations.
