Develop Robust Implementation Frameworks for Blue Economy

Develop Robust Implementation Frameworks for Blue Economy

Research Project: Develop an evidence-based implementation framework to position seaweed cultivation and value-added soap production as a sustainable livelihood model, while addressing both economic viability and environmental sustainability.

Core Research Questions

  • What implementation strategies can effectively incentivize seaweed cultivators to adopt value-added soap production?
  • How can incentive structures (economic and environmental) be designed to sustain behavior change over time?
  • What are the context-specific enablers and barriers to scaling seaweed-based enterprises in rural coastal communities?
