The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore is conducting a webinar on “Industry Insights from Philips Healthcare: Skills, Internships, and Career Readiness” on March 16th, 2025 (Monday), 06.00 – 07.30 PM IST.
The session will provide an overview of Philips Healthcare’s ongoing projects, employee expectations, and the skills required to be industry-ready. The speaker will share insights on how students can connect with industry professionals for internships, the profiles Philips typically opens for internships, and common mistakes students make while applying for jobs. Additionally, will discuss sustaining engineering practices, productivity programs, and the importance of compliance with regulatory standards in healthcare technology. This webinar aims to help students understand real-world challenges and prepare effectively for careers in the medical technology domain.

About the Speaker
Sharad Rayguru is a seasoned Systems Engineering leader at Philips Healthcare R&D, currently serving as Systems Lead – Mechanical, Sustaining Engineering and Sustainability Ambassador. With deep expertise in designing and delivering complex medical-device systems, Sharad specializes in requirements-based design, functional safety, risk analysis, and compliance with global regulatory standards. He has led cross-functional programs and end-to-end delivery of tailored IGT solutions, bringing strong knowledge of ISO standards and MBSE methodologies. Sharad is also an active contributor to the systems engineering community as Chapter Secretary for INCOSE India and holds multiple certifications, including SAFe Agilist and Certified Systems Engineering Practitioner.
