Abstract : In this Anthropocene era, it is essential to develop design strategies that foster nature connectedness to promote sustainable attitudes and behaviours towards the natural world. However, cultural spaces such as temples, which significantly impact people's attitudes and behaviours, have been relatively unexplored in this regard. This study aims to investigate the impact of a South Indian temple on nature connectedness by surveying 540 participants using the Connectedness to Nature Scale (CNS). The results demonstrate that people participating in temple activities exhibit higher levels of nature connectedness. Therefore, cultural spaces such as temples can effectively promote nature connectedness and encourage pro-environmental behaviour.
