Our Faculty

Dr. Raghu Pradeep Nair currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr.Gd), Amrita International School of Law, Coimbatore. He brings to the classroom nearly a decade of active legal practice and over thirty years of cross-sector professional experience spanning law, corporate governance, human resources, and higher education.

A graduate of Bangalore University’s five-year professional law programme, Dr. Nair was enrolled with the Bar Council of Kerala in 1994 and went on to practise across trial courts and the High Court of Kerala. His practice encompassed civil and criminal litigation, corporate and commercial law, constitutional law, taxation, intellectual property, consumer protection, and family law. He served as junior to the late Sri. K. Karunakara Menon, former President of the Nair Service Society and one of Kerala’s most distinguished advocates, before progressing through commercial and High Court practice at Menon & Varghese Associates and N. Govindan Nair Associates.

Following his legal practice, Dr. Nair held senior leadership roles in HR and legal affairs across India and the UAE. In the IT industry, he led cross-functional responsibilities spanning administration, human resources, legal affairs, and business strategy. At Al Swiss Group / Ecotech LLC, Dubai, he served as Manager — Legal & Human Resources, acting as primary legal advisor on UAE federal law, labour law, and free zone regulations, and managing a multinational and diverse workforce across seven group entities spread across the UAE.

Dr. Nair has also served as Assistant Professor in Business Management at reputed AICTE-approved MBA colleges for nearly a decade, teaching subjects including Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Business Laws, Supply Chain Management, and Business Ethics. He subsequently served as Senior Manager — Learning & Development at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, where he led career competency and soft skills development programmes supporting student placements. Together, these roles reflect a breadth of academic and institutional experience that directly informs his approach to legal education.

Dr. Nair holds a PhD in Management, an MBA (Finance & Marketing), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. He is a Certified Independent Director (Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs), a Certified Instructional Design Practitioner (KPMG), certified in Design Thinking for Innovation (University of Virginia), and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He is currently pursuing an LL.M in Corporate Law.

His research interests include corporate governance, AI governance, digital personal data protection law, entrepreneurship, the startup ecosystem, Indian Knowledge Systems, and the intersection of legal and institutional ethics. He has presented at national and international conferences and has publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is an Approved Research Guide (Interdisciplinary Research) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and welcomes doctoral students working at the intersection of law, governance, and capability development.

Dr. Nair has been recognised for his legal acumen since the outset of his career. He was awarded the MC Mathew Memorial Award by the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi — Kerala Chapter (1998), and was a prizewinner at the Karnataka State Moot Court Competition held at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore (1994).

Dr. Nair is the Founder of CampusFounders™ — a startup dedicated to bridging the gap between campus ambition and venture reality, working with student entrepreneurs, early-stage founders, and startups to help them build, validate, and grow their ventures. CampusFounders™ has been proposed for incubation under the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) programme of the Atal Innovation Mission, Government of India.
