Dr. Anitha A currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Amrita School of Physical Sciences, Coimbatore Campus. She has 7 years of teaching experience. She received her Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli in the Department of Computer Applications, specialising in interpretable and scalable categorical data encoding using statistical and deep learning frameworks. She completed her M.E. and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.

She has served as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at NIT Tiruchirappalli under a DST-ICPS funded research project on healthcare data analytics and has also worked as an Assistant Professor at reputed engineering institutions. Her teaching interests include Programming, Data Structures, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

Her research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Explainable AI, Categorical Data Encoding, Healthcare Analytics, and Clinical Decision Support Systems. She has published research papers in reputed journals and conferences and serves as a Peer Reviewer for the Elsevier journal Information Sciences.
