Presentation Skills: Effective technical presentations, Preparation & delivery Techniques, Slide Preparation, Ethical use of AI tools in preparing slides, Do’s & Don’ts, Presentation by students, Handling Feedback & Questions

Communication Skills: Process, Barriers, Active Listening, Nonverbal verbal communication, Personal branding

Aptitude

Numbers – Power Cycles, Divisibility, HCF and LCM, Percentage – Profit, Loss & Discount, and Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio, Proportion & Variation – Alligations, Mixtures, and Partnership Problems, Averages, Logical Reasoning – Blood Relations, Direction Test, Syllogisms, Series, Odd One Out, Coding & Decoding, Cryptarithmetic Problems and Input-Output Reasoning, Data Interpretation – Tables, Bar Diagrams, Line Graphs, Pie Charts, Caselets and Mixed Varieties, Puzzles – Optimization Puzzles, Fermi Problems, Game-Based Puzzles and Sudoku, Speed Mathematics, and Shortcuts.

Verbal Skills 

Vocabulary: Familiarize students with the etymology of words, help them realize the relevance of word analysis, and enable them to answer synonym and antonym questions.  

Grammar (Basics): To learn the usage of grammar and facilitate students to identify errors and correct them.  

Reasoning: Stress the importance of understanding the relationship between words through analogy questions. Emphasize the importance of avoiding the gap (assumption) in the argument/ statements/ communication.  

Speaking Skills: Make students conscious of the relevance of effective communication in today’s world through individual speaking activities. 

Pre-requisite: 

SOFT SKILLS – The curiosity to build insights and expressing the willingness to engage in iterative self-critique and peer feedback

VERBAL – Basic English language skills 

APTITUDE – Basic knowledge in arithmetic and algebra.

Course Objective:

SOFT SKILLS

1. Encouraging students in acquiring the sense of commitment and responsibility

2. Facilitating them in presenting their insights

VERBAL – To help students develop the ability to understand, analyze, and communicate in English effectively.

APTITUDE – Assist them in improving their problem solving and reasoning skills

Course Outcomes 

CO1: Soft Skills – To develop greater morale and positive attitude to face, analyze, and practice focus on a competitive environment like placement process.

CO2: Soft Skills – To empower students to create better impact on a target audience through content creation, effective delivery, appropriate body language and overcoming nervousness, in situations like presentations.

CO3 – Aptitude: To manage time while applying suitable methods to solve questions in arithmetic and algebra.

CO4 – Aptitude: To investigate, understand and use appropriate techniques to solve questions in logical reasoning and data analysis.

CO5: Verbal – To use enhanced vocabulary and be grammatically precise

CO6: Verbal – To use logical reasoning and draw clear conclusions.
