Abstract : The issue faced by third-degree paralyzed patients is their lack of independent movement. They always need someone to take care of their daily work. In the market, there are various wheelchairs which are designed to help such patients. Unfortunately, those wheelchairs cannot be used by third-degree paralysis patients. So, to overcome such issues, a head gesture-controlled wheelchair with health monitoring system is proposed. This design’s goal is to provide disabled persons with an automated wheelchair system so they may complete their basic conditioning and take care of their health. This wheelchair is based on head gesture movements. The regulators are given stir directions using gestures so that they can control the stir of the wheel president to suit the needs of the patients. The microcontroller uses the signal from the acceleration sensor to control the wheel’s motor in one of four directions: right, left, forward, or backward depending on the acceleration. The accelerometer sensor detects the patient’s head motion and transmits that information to the microcontroller. A GSM module is built into the circuit, along with other sensors to track the health conditions of the patients. The GSM module is used to communicate the health conditions of the Patients to the caretaker. An alert message from a health monitoring device will be sent to the mobile devices of the caretakers and doctors. Any emergency, such as a high heartbeat or high temperature, can be treated in time.
