Patterns of Care and Survival Studies in Head & Neck Cancer, Cancer Cervix, Cancer Breast (All India Study) – National Cancer Registry Project

The basic methodology of this project envisages capturing core patient identifying information with details of clinical stage, types of treatment (with all particulars), and follow-up parameters as per standards specified. The results are evaluated at annual reviews by The National Cancer Registry Program, Indian Council of Medical Research.

The data so accrued would essentially aim in fulfilling the broad objectives of the project which are:

  1. To obtain core identifying and diagnostic information in all patients with cancer cervix/cancer breast/head & neck cancers in a particular center/institution;
  2. To record details of clinical stage and types of treatment commenced on all the above patients on cancer directed treatment;
  3. To have periodic follow up and record the patient and disease status in all patients listed in (2) above so as to have clinical stage and treatment based survival at these cancer sites.
