Eligibility & Process

Eligibility

B. Pharm Regular

  • Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December 2022.
  • Pass in Plus Two with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. In place of Biology or Maths are also eligible.

B. Pharm Lateral

  • Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December 2022.
  • Pass in Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
  • Pass in Plus Two with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. In place of Biology or Maths are also eligible.

Pharm. D

  • Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December 2022.
  • Pass in Plus two examination with 50% in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology.
  • Any other qualification approved by Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

M. Pharm & Pharm. D (PB)

  • Pass in B. Pharm degree from an Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) with at least 50% marks for all the subjects of B.Pharm course from second year to fourth year.
  • Preference will be given to GPAT qualified candidates.

FAQ

Qn.1. Is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham affiliated to any University for purpose of recognition of degrees?

No. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a University established under sec 3 of UGC Act 1956. Being a University, the question of affiliation to another university does not arise. Since the university is recognized by UGC and Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, the courses offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are recognized. The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC )with ‘A’ Grade in 2009. The HRD Ministry’s Panel Report (2010) on Deemed Universities has graded Amrita in Category ‘A’.

Qn.2. How are UG & PG Programmes designed?

B.Pharm and M.Pharm follows a credit based semester pattern with continuous evaluation whereas Pharm D and Pharm D (PB) follows annual pattern.

Qn.3. How many students are presently studying in the University?

At present around 15,000 students are studying in the five campuses of the University in Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Management, Social work, Communication and so on.

Qn.4. At the time of counseling, is the presence of candidate compulsory?

Yes, the candidate along with his parent or guardian shall be present at the counseling desk.

Qn.5. At the time of counseling, is it enough if I produce Photostat copies of my certificates?

Sorry. Original certificates are to be produced.

Qn.6. If I do not receive call letter in time to attend the counseling, what can I do?

Candidates selected will get intimation through sms/phone call. Candidates who do not get the intimation shall check with the school. (0484-285 7903, 7900).

Qn.7. Eligibilty & criteria:

Yes

Qn.9. When will selection list be published?

Within one week of the date of the interview.

Qn.10. Criteria for admission:
  • B.Pharm & Pharm.D. :- Selection will be made on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in Plus two and an Entrance examination conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
  • M. Pharm & Pharm. D (PB) :- Selection will be made on the basis of academic scores in B.Pharm and performance in the interview. GPAT qualified students will have preference.

Qn.13. Bank loan

After the admission procedure is done for the candidate, a letter of enrollment as well as other required documents like the approval of the institution etc. will be given from the institute. All the formalities with the Bank have to be taken care by the candidate.

Qn. 16. Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fees

If the student wishes to withdraw from the Programme of studies in which he/she is admitted, the refund of fees will be made as per the details given below:

a) Refund will be made only after the candidate has surrendered the ID card, original fee receipts and the dues clearance certificate.

b) The refund information given above is indicative only and the university reserve the right to make changes as per the notification received from the regulatory authorities from time to time. Such changes will be updated in the university website.
