National Academic Depository & Academic Bank of Credits

National Academic Depository (NAD):

National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of GoI by UGC, and the Ministry of Education. NAD allows Academic Institutions to upload Academic Awards in digital format, this will be accessible for students at any time & from anywhere. Authorized academic partners can verify the authenticity of the documents with the student’s consent. Operates in fully online mode for paperless & presence less transaction of documents from one place to another place.

Academic Bank of Credits (ABC):

Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is a virtual/digital storehouse that contains the information of the credits & credit points(grade points) earned by individual students throughout their learning journey. It has been established on the lines of the National Academic Depository (NAD).Students who have opened account under ABC can avail the facility to store and manage their credit scores, authentication of academic awards as well as credit verification, accumulation, transfer and redemption. It provides availability of “e options for Multiple Entry/Exit Option”. As per UGC guidelines all students enrolled from Year 2021 are requested to create ABC_ID.

How To Fetch Marksheets Or Certificates From DigiLocker

  1. Visit the DigiLocker website: https://www.digilocker.gov.in/
  2. Sign in with your credentials if you have already created DigiLocker account.
  3. For new user create a DigiLocker Account:
    • Click on “Sign Up” if you don’t have an account.
    • Enter your mobile number linked with Aadhaar number.
    • Complete the registration process by verifying your phone number with an OTP.
  4. Log in to DigiLocker:
    • After registration, log in to your account by entering your credentials (Mobile Number / Aadhaar and PIN,OTP).
  5. Accessing the Marksheets or Certificates:
    • After logging in, on the dashboard, you will see options for various documents.
    • Look for “Educational Documents” or “Issued Documents” section.
    • Search for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and select The University.
    • Select the type of document you want Degree/Marksheet
    • Get your document by entering the required details.

Note: DigiLocker Degree certificates are available from the convocation Year 2010 to 2024 for all courses.

Marksheets are available for students enrolled from 2021 onwards with ABC_ID(Except Medical stream) .

The NAD cell is part of the COE’s (Controller of Examinations) Office.

Degree Certificates from the year 2011 to 2024 are now available through DigiLocker.

Steps to be followed:

  1. Visit the Webpage  https://nad.digitallocker.gov.in/students  for more details.
  2. Register using DigiLocker website – https://digilocker.gov.in/ or mobile app (android and iOS) with your Aadhaar.
  3. After successful login into the Digilocker, Go to the Education section and click on View All
  4. Select Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
  5. Click on Degree/ Diploma Certificate.
  6. Enter the Complete Roll No and Year of Passing Examination details for fetching Awards.
  7. After filing all your correct details Click on Get Document.
  8. After successful process, your degree certificate will be successfully saved in your issued documents.
  9. Click on PDF button to download your degree certificate.

Exceptions:
