Introduction

Having gained knowledge and understanding from the previous semester field work, the students are expected to improve their practice skills in different settings. They get an opportunity to work with children, women adults, or elderly in the community. They are also involved in planning and developing programmes in the field.

Objectives and Outcomes

Course Objectives

  1. Strengthen professional social work practice skills through supervised field engagement in diverse settings.
  2. Enable students to work effectively with children, women, adults, and elderly populations in community and institutional contexts.
  3. Develop students’ ability to plan and implement need-based programmes and interventions
  4. Promote ethical, inclusive, and rights-based practice in field situations.
  5. Encourage reflective learning and effective use of supervision for continuous professional development.

Course Outcomes

  1. On successful completion of Field Work II, the student will be able to:
  2. Demonstrate ethical and professional behaviour in interactions with service users and agencies.
  3. Engage and assess individuals and groups to identify needs, strengths, and resources.
  4. Plan and implement appropriate interventions and community programmes.
  5. Apply theoretical knowledge and social welfare policies to field practice situations.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation and reflect on practice for improving professional competence
