The Department of Child Health Nursing, College of Nursing, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, conducted a Breastfeeding Week Celebration on the theme “Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility” on August 7, 2021 in the T4F4 ward from 10 am to 11 am.
The event was organized by the third-year B.Sc Nursing students (32 students of 17th Batch) for breastfeeding mothers. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Jayakumar, Professor and Head, Department of Paediatrics, School of Medicine, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi. The presidential address was delivered by Prof. (Dr). Sunil M., HOD, Child Health Nursing, College of Nursing, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi. Health education on breastfeeding was given by the students followed by a poster presentation on the same topic. Four faculty of Amrita College of Nursing (Department of Child Health Nursing) attended the program and about ten breastfeeding mothers benefited from the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Vidhya Anna Koshy of IIIrd Year B.Sc. Nursing.
