Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus organized a Summer Camp, in association with ASCE Student Chapter, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeertham on May 5 – 7, 2023.

ASCE student chapter of Amrita was established in 2021 to “provide engineering education that creates professional Civil Engineers of high ethics with a strong conceptual foundation to serve the industry and community.” All students are part of this club. Additionally, students bear administrative roles like the president, secretary, treasurer, and media head with minimum support from faculty coordinators. Students organize workshops, site visits, and invited talks as part of the club activity. As students host and participate in all the events, they develop their managing skills and highlight their talents on a public platform. Along with inter-college events, collaborative events are organized under the banner of this club. This helps them work in a group, enabling them to share their ideas and approach the problem from different perspectives.
At the Coimbatore campus, the Civil Engineering Department strives to provide sustainable solutions to the construction industry. The department has well-established laboratories with eminent faculties with the motive to nurture the future with present industrial conventions and expose them to the latest research challenges around the globe. The department has an annual intake of 60 undergraduate and 30 postgraduate students. Additionally, there are 40 research scholars enrolled in the doctoral program. Learning Outcomes
Participants will be presented with an overview of the current industry practices and an introduction to relevant software used in the Industry.
This camp is for final-year graduates from the Civil Engineering department. This camp lets you directly interact with industry experts and clarify your industrial conventions/research areas queries. The camp will help you formulate and plan your career in Civil Engineering Industry.
