An adage goes – ‘Necessity is the mother of all inventions, and Media is one among such innovations that changed the way we communicate. From when the early men painted walls with pictures to share to publishing the first newspaper in the 17th century, a lot has changed. As people began to read and write, the influence of traditional media increased manifolds. Print media dominated the space, but with the advent of the internet in 1965, media underwent Digitalization. Information is now exchanged in seconds, and media expanded its reach to the world’s remotest corners. From being accused of manipulating the views and ideas of the masses to uniting people for a common cause – Media has not just influenced our lives but has become a catalyst to inspire change in our society.
