Power systems operation is entering the digital era with new technologies and functionalities such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet-of-Things (IoT). At the same time, electrical grids are facing new challenges, with the increasing share of DER and the growing adoption of new loads like EVs. To address these challenges, there is a growing interest for demand response (DR) solutions. Where traditional approaches could not provide sufficiently efficient or reliable results, AI based DR solutions are being recently explored.
