Swagatham 2026, the inauguration ceremony for the 2026 academic batches of B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Pharm.D programmes, was held on 5th August 2026 at the Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi.
The new academic year welcomed the 22nd batch of B.Pharm, 17th batch of Pharm.D, and 19th batch of M.Pharm students in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice, along with the first batch of M.Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of esteemed guests, Mr. N. Ravikumar, President – Formulations R&D, MSN Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, and Ms. Lekshmi Chandran, Associate Director, Patient Safety Scientist, AstraZeneca.
A significant highlight of the occasion was the launch of the M.Pharm programme in Industrial Pharmacy, marking a proud milestone for Amrita School of Pharmacy. The programme strengthens the School’s commitment to industry-oriented pharmaceutical education and aims to prepare students to meet the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical profession.
The ceremony was graced by Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The occasion also witnessed the release of Pharma Cognizance – January–June 2026 issue, the official newsletter of Amrita School of Pharmacy.
Reflecting on the aspirations for the new academic batches, Dr. Sabitha M., Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy, said, “As these young minds embark on their academic journey, we hope to see many of them grow into outstanding researchers, innovative entrepreneurs, industry leaders, CEOs, and responsible professionals, making meaningful contributions to healthcare and society.”
