Bio

Dr. R. Anusuya currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. She holds a Ph.D. in Secure Data Analytics in Edge Computing and has extensive experience in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic administration. Her research interests include Federated Learning, Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning, Adversarial Machine Learning, Edge Intelligence, Blockchain Security, Knowledge Distillation, and Large Language Models. Her work focuses on developing secure, efficient, and trustworthy AI systems for distributed and resource-constrained environments. She has contributed to the advancement of federated learning through research on communication-efficient learning, privacy preservation, secure aggregation, adversarial defense mechanisms, and blockchain-enabled trust frameworks. Dr. Anusuya has published several research articles in reputed international journals and conferences. She has guided undergraduate and postgraduate students in projects related to AI, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Software Engineering.

Prior to joining academia, she worked as a Software Developer at Visolve Inc., where she developed HIPAA-compliant medical analytics software modules using PHP. She refactored legacy code, optimized production performance, resolved real-time system issues, and performed release integration and validation activities to ensure software reliability and quality.

  • Successfully completed a sponsored research project under Samsung PRISM titled “Multi-Keyword Spotting (Multi-KWS) using RNN-based Architectures.” The six-month project focused on developing deep learning models for efficient speech keyword detection and recognition, with a total funding support of ₹86,400.
