Dr. G. Citybabu is an Assistant Professor at the Amrita School of Business in Bangalore. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Studies (2025) from NIT Tiruchirappalli, where he was recognized with the Budding Researcher Award from 2022 to 2024. A certified Lean Six Sigma professional, his academic background includes a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (2019) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (2016), with a GATE qualification in 2020. A blend of practical and academic experience marks his career. He’s held significant roles such as a Quality Engineer at Zero Tolerance Private Limited, a Teaching Fellow at the College of Engineering Guindy, and a Facilitator at the SIEMENS Lab. This diverse background allows him to effectively connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. His current research interests are at the forefront of his field, focusing on Lean Six Sigma 4.0 & 5.0, Quality 4.0, Operational Excellence, Human Factors/Ergonomics, Resilience, and Sustainability. He is a prolific contributor to the academic community, regularly publishing in international journals and serving as a trusted peer reviewer for prestigious publications like the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, International Journal of Lean Six Sigma, the International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, the International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, and Business Process Management Journal.
