Bio

Dr. Palmani Duraisamy, an accomplished Robotics & AI Engineer, has a rich history in the field of autonomous robotic systems and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Excellence in Computational Engineering and Networking, School of Artificial Intelligence, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Coimbatore. He has completed his Doctor of Philosophy at SASTRA Deemed University in 2023 was centered around the “Development of a 2D Maneuvering Robotic Fish and Implementation of Intelligent Controller in a Real-Time Static Environment using Data-Assisted Modeling.” He was also part of a team that developed an Automated Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in 2018, funded by Brakes India Pvt. Ltd. Chennai. His experience spans across teaching various technical courses at the Paavai Group of Institutions from 2012 to 2017 and research roles at SASTRA Deemed University from 2018 to 2023. Most recently, in his role as a Research Associate under the DRDO-India Project Fellowship from 2022 to 2023, he has contributed to advancements in off-road obstacle detection and navigation for mobile robots.
