Bio

Dr. Suparna Ray is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Amrita School of Business, Amravati campus
Her previous stints were at SOIL School of Business Design, Manesar, Gurgaon; Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, Bangalore; XIM University, Bhubaneswar and Bennett University, NCR, respectively.
Before switching to academia, she had more than a decade of corporate exposure by virtue of her Company Secretaryship qualification at various corporate houses in Calcutta, West Bengal. In her various roles, she was engaged in planning and formulating policy-issues concerning investments, working capital, borrowings, etc. reflecting business outlook in senior management positions, as part of Core Committee of management.
Heracademic journey resumed with an MBA in Finance & Investments from Baruch College, City University of New York, USA culminating to PhD in Finance from the University of Exeter Business School, UK.
One of her PhD papers co-authored with her PhD supervisors, has been published in one of the top-tier Management journals. She has presented her research at several major international and national conferences both during her PhD studies and thereafter.
