Bio

Dr. K. Anitha currently serves as the Chairperson and Associate Professor in the Department of Science & Humanities, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai. With 19 years of teaching experience, she has made significant contributions to academia and research. She has successfully secured research grants worth ₹9,79,366 from premier funding agencies such as AICTE and ICMR.

Under her guidance, 3 Ph.D. scholars have graduated and 2 are currently pursuing their research. She has an impressive publication record with 43 research articles, 4 books, and 5 book chapters, and has completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Casimir Pulaski University of Radom, Poland, Europe. A sought-after speaker, she has delivered 17 keynote addresses at reputed universities and institutions across India.

Her research focuses on Rough Set Theory and its applications in machine learning, graph algorithms, rough graphs, and fuzzy–rough optimization, as well as rough set–driven mathematical modeling in interdisciplinary domains such as epidemiology, AI, and engineering. She is also pioneering work on Quantum Rough Graphs, developing frameworks for uncertainty modeling in quantum networks.
